The Life Coach Consultant plays an essential role in guiding young people and adults toward
personal growth, stability, and independence. This position provides individualized coaching,
case management, and skill development to help clients build self-confidence, identify their
strengths, and set meaningful goals related to education, employment, housing, relationships,
and overall wellness.
The ideal candidate is compassionate, encouraging, and skilled at empowering others to take
ownership of their future while maintaining strong professional boundaries and cultural
sensitivity.
● Provide positive, professional role modeling to clients, promoting self-esteem, self-
awareness, and emotional resilience.
● Teach and reinforce life skills including communication, goal-setting, decision-making,
budgeting, and self-care.
● Support clients in developing healthy relationships and maintaining positive boundaries.
● Encourage professionalism, responsibility, and accountability in daily routines and work
or school settings.
● Offer guidance on personal presentation, hygiene, and self-confidence.
● Provide emotional support as clients manage daily life challenges and transitions.
● Conduct life skills assessments and evaluate client strengths and areas for growth.
● Develop and monitor individualized service or goal plans focused on education,
employment, housing, wellness, and independence.
● Support trauma-informed and strengths-based approaches when developing care
strategies.
● Evaluate progress regularly and adjust plans in collaboration with clients and other
service providers.
● Connect clients with community resources such as education, healthcare, mental health
services, employment programs, housing supports, and recreational opportunities.
● Partner with schools, DFCS, workforce agencies, and other community organizations to
ensure coordinated care.
● Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to review client progress and goals.
● Maintain strong communication with Linwalk’s counseling and wellness teams for
integrated support.
● Facilitate life skills workshops and activities focused on topics such as stress
management, conflict resolution, goal planning, and time management.
● Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential documentation of services, client interactions,
and progress reports.
● Complete incident reports and monthly summaries as required.
● Ensure that all client records are maintained in accordance with Linwalk’s standards of
confidentiality and ethical practice.
● Maintain professionalism, ethical standards, and confidentiality at all times.
● Demonstrate empathy, patience, and cultural humility.
● Participate in ongoing professional development and required trainings.
● Contribute positively to a collaborative, supportive, and inclusive team environment.
● Uphold Linwalk’s mission of holistic healing and empowerment in every client interaction.
● Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, counseling, education, or related field
(preferred).
● 3–5 years of experience working with young adults or individuals facing behavioral
health, trauma, or substance use challenges.
● Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to connect with diverse
populations.
● Knowledge of trauma-informed care and youth development principles.
● Experience in writing reports and maintaining accurate documentation.
● Reliable transportation and willingness to travel for community-based services.
● Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining professionalism and empathy.
