Linwalk Creative Solutions was founded to provide intensive home-based counseling and

The Parent-Aide plays a vital role in supporting families by teaching and modeling effective
parenting, communication, and life management skills. Working in partnership with parents, the
Parent-Aide helps strengthen family relationships, improve home environments, and promote
stability and self-sufficiency.
This position involves providing in-home and community-based support to parents referred for
family assistance, with an emphasis on empowerment, respect, and cultural sensitivity.
● Conduct regular home or community visits to provide individualized parenting education
and support.
● Teach and model positive parenting techniques, healthy communication, and
constructive discipline strategies.
● Guide parents in developing essential life skills such as budgeting, organization, stress
management, and problem-solving.
● Support parents in identifying and accessing community resources (housing, healthcare,
education, childcare, transportation, recreational programs, etc.).
● Assist with coordinating appointments, transportation, and scheduling for children and
families as needed.
● Provide education on emotional wellness, coping strategies, and self-care practices for
parents and caregivers.
● Maintain accurate and timely documentation of services in compliance with Linwalk’s
professional and ethical standards.
● Collaborate closely with Linwalk’s interdisciplinary team of counselors, wellness
coaches, and case managers to ensure comprehensive family support.
● 3–5 years of experience in family support, behavioral modification, parenting education,
or related human services field (preferred).
● Knowledge of community resources and experience working with DFCS or similar
agencies.
● Familiarity with parenting education models, behavioral management, and crisis
intervention techniques.
● Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
● Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and maintain professionalism in
home-based environments.
● Reliable transportation and willingness to travel as needed.
● Bilingual abilities a plus.
● Understanding of child and family development principles.
● Experience with group facilitation or psychoeducation.
● Knowledge of progress note documentation (e.g., BIRP format).
Job Type: Part-Time
Pay:
Schedule: Monday–Friday, with occasional weekends as needed
